Updates to Student Discounts during the COVID-19 Pandemic

As part of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we're providing all users with a free Pro account until at least July 1, 2020.

As a result, we have temporarily suspended processing of new student discounts until the free period has ended. We'll announce here when we're processing student discount requests again.

Commiss.io wants to enable creators without breaking the bank. We've all been students, so we know that adding additional costs on top of your fees can be unreasonable.

That's why we're happy to offer student discounts to creators selling through Commiss.io!

How it Works

Full-time Students

Full-time students are eligible to receive a free Pro membership for the duration of their time as a student. The free membership will be applied for a period of 12 months, after which you can re-apply to extend the membership.

The definition of full-time student varies by institution, but generally requires at least 12 semester hours or 9 quarter hours of study.

Part-time Students

Part-time students are eligible to receive a 6 month free Pro membership, followed by a 50% discount on their Pro membership for the duration of their time as a student. As with full-time students, you will need to re-apply to verify your student status every 12 months.

Any student not meeting the definition of Full-time qualifies as a part-time student.

How to Apply

Full-time and part-time students are eligible for discounts as outlined below. To apply, just contact us and we'll help get you sorted. You can use the chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner.

We'll ask you for some documentation showing your current enrollment. This may include:

  1. A scan / photo of a valid, unexpired student ID.

  2. A scan / photo / PDF of a current unofficial transcript showing enrollment.

If neither document is available, let us know and we'll work with you to find something.
